Forgotten Christianities is a new initiative sponsored by The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities (TORCH) through the ‘Critical Thinking Communities’ initiative and the Ancient World Research Cluster (Wolfson College, Oxford). The first seminars will take place June 7, 14, 21, and 28, 2021.

The deadline for submitting abstracts is 31 August 2021 and the workshop will take place online on 7 December 2021. We envisage the publication of a volume based on the papers delivered at the conference, dependent upon a peer-review process.
The Mary Jaharis Center for Byzantine Art and Culture at Hellenic College Holy Cross is working with BSANA to organize virtual digital humanities training for graduate students in Byzantine studies (and closely allied fields) during the 2021—2022 academic year. These sessions will be open to students enrolled in North American graduate programs. We are asking for your help in planning opportunities that best serve your needs. We have put together a survey to gather data about the research you are doing, the kinds of tools that you anticipate using in your work or would like to learn more about, and what training you have already received. The data you provide will inform the training offered and help us to tailor the training opportunities. The more information you provide the better. Please complete the survey by May 20, 2021.

The conference will take place via Zoom on 22nd and 23rd April 2021 (British Summer Time).
This workshop invites early graduate students (considering their options for research topics) to discuss the place of various forms of diversity in the region and consider topics which cross the communal and linguistic boundaries imposed on premodern history by most graduate education today. The goal is to expose graduate students to the region’s diversity early in their academic trajectory to allow them to acquire the skills necessary to pursue wide-ranging research. The workshop will take place May 17-21, 2021 via Zoom. Submit your proposals by March 26. Notifications of successful applications will be made by April 5 or shortly thereafter.
Available to currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students to attend Dumbarton Oaks’ virtual symposia in Byzantine, Pre-Columbian, and Garden and Landscape Studies.
